Paneer Pav Bhaji Recipe | How to make Paneer Pav Bhaji Recipe


Ingredients of Paneer Pav Bhaji:-

For Pressure Cooking:-

  • 1 cup chopped cauliflower
  • 1 cup chopped carrot
  • 1 cup peas - fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 cup chopped beans
  • 1/2 cup peas 
  • 2 medium potato, peeled & cubed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cup water
For Pav Bhaji:-
  • 2-3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp ginger & garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies , chopped
  • 1 capsicum, finely chopped
  • 2 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tsp salt or as required
  • 1 cup cheese, grated 
  • 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1.5 cups water or add as required
For Toasting Pav:-
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp pav bhaji masala powder
  • 1 tsp coriander, finely chopped
  • 2 pav
Instructions:-
  1. Firstly boil vegetables, take a pressure cooker, add 2 cup water and all vegetables except onions, tomatoes, and capsicum.
  2. Mash the vegetables and keep aside.
  3. In a pan, heat 2 tbsp butter. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  4. Then add the onions. Stir and saute them on a medium flame.
  5. Now add the ginger-garlic paste. Fry until they turn golden in color.
  6. Add green chilies and stir for a minute. 
  7. Add the chopped tomatoes and saute until tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  8. Add the capsicum. stir for a few minutes till the capsicum becomes a little soft.
  9. Now add the chili powder, turmeric powder, and pav bhaji masala and salt. Mix the dry masalas well. 
  10. Now add the mashed vegetables and mix well.
  11. Add some water. Cover the pan and cook the vegetables for 8-10 minutes. 
  12. Then add the cheese and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes till all the ingredients blend well together.
  13. If the curry is thick then add some hot water or as required. 
  14. Finally, add 2 tbsp coriander and 1 tsp lemon juice. Mix well.
Toast the Pav:-
  1. To toast the pav, heat 1 tbsp butter and saute bhaji masala powder and coriander slightly,
  2. Slice 2 pavs into half and rub with butter.
  3. Toast slightly until the pav turns warm.
  4. Finally, enjoy paneer pav bhaji topped with more grated paneer.
