- 2 tbsp Oil
- 100 grams Paneer
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- ½ cup Onion sliced
- ¼ cup Carrot thinly sliced
- ¼ cup Green bell pepper, sliced
- ¼ cup Red pepper, sliced
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Red chili powder
- ½ tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 2 medium or ½ cup Tomato pureed
- ¼ cup Water or as required
- 1 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
- Cut all the vegetables and paneer into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan on medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds, when they start to turn light brown add sliced onion and saute until it becomes translucent.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and stir-fry for a minute.
- Add carrot and capsicum and stir-fry for 2-minutes.
- Add tomato and green chili and cook for a minute.
- Add tomato puree and stir-cook for 2-3 minutes
- Then add all spices:- red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt.
- Mix well and cook for a minute.
- Add water and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add paneer cubes and mix well.
- Cook until gravy turns thick for approx. 2-3 minutes.
- Turn off flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
- finally, serve paneer jalfrezi with rice or roti or naan.
